The SBM series pressure blasting units are mobile machines designed for advanced surface treatment using a compressed air stream and blasting media. The advantageous conical bottom design facilitates media movement, and the possibility to use different valve configurations means the equipment is suitable for processing all types of abrasives, whether spherical, round, and/or angular shapes, and any grit size.
SBM series blasting units can achieve a surface quality up to class SA-3/SP5 and a throughput of up to 106 m²/h. Sandblasters in the SBM series are equipped with large claw couplings to ensure quick and secure connections while maintaining high compressed air flow rates. Media loading is performed via a pneumatically operated rubber membrane, eliminating the need for inefficient screw connections—making the SBM series blasting units safer and easier to operate. The blast unit is also fitted with a large inspection valve for quick tank discharge and internal inspection access. SBM series units allow simultaneous operation with one or two blasting nozzles (depending on model).
Control of the blasting unit (available in pneumatic or electric versions) is intuitive and precise, with the control handle located at the end of the work hose for increased efficiency. A key advantage of this setup is that the operator performing the cleaning can interrupt the machine's operation in accordance with the latest health and safety regulations (solution available as an optional extra).
The SBM series blast vessel is designed and manufactured in compliance with the requirements of Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU, based on and supervised by a notified body-approved design, and is CE-marked.
