The Kolbus KM 470 is a robust perfect binder designed for professional bookbinderies. The machine features a comprehensive gathering system, including a ZU gathering machine with 18 stations and a hand feed station, ensuring efficient collation of book blocks. The KM 470 perfect binder itself is equipped with 25 clamps for secure handling of book blocks during the binding process. It is fitted with a milling station for precise spine preparation, followed by hotmelt spine and side gluing units for a strong, durable bind. The Stream Cover Feeder automates cover application, while the clamp and press station ensures a tight, professional finish. Additionally, the machine is equipped with a delivery unit for smooth transfer of finished book blocks, though no drying conveyors are included. The Kolbus OMG stacker arranges finished products for easy handling. Manufactured in 1992, this system is currently in operation at a print shop in Germany and can process book blocks up to 310 x 390 x 60 mm.
