Herzog LY300

This LY300 short and longitudinal grinding machine is pre-owned but has only been used sporadically. The condition is very good, with only some paintwork damage and a scratched machine cover indicating its age.

For operator safety, the machine is equipped with a lid switch that automatically shuts down the machine when the cover is opened. A restart interlock prevents any unintentional start-up.

For machining short workpieces, the clamping hand is included with this machine.

We can also offer consumables such as cut-off and cup grinding wheels.

Application: Rod-shaped workpieces can be cut to length and face-ground in a single operation. Ideal for manufacturing ejector pins.
The machine features two parallel grinding spindles, one for parting-off, and one for precision face grinding to final size.
The required workpiece length can be set to an accuracy of 0.01mm using the integrated measuring scale.

Operating procedure:
Open prism clamp: move lever in the middle to the right and insert workpiece
Close prism clamp: move lever to the left
Cut-off: move lever upwards to the left
Face-grinding: move lever downwards to the left
Open prism clamp: move lever to the center and right, remove finished workpiece.

The grinding wheel can be adjusted and dressed at any time without losing the set dimension.
