GRAFS PS+MS

The MS+PS coolant separator from GRAFS is a device that combines the functions of both a magnetic separator and a filter fleece separator. This combination enables an exceptionally high level of coolant purification, which is extremely important in machining processes.

The MS+PS separator is an ideal solution for machines that require very clean coolant, where contamination includes both magnetic and non-magnetic particles. By integrating magnetic filter technology with filter fleece filtration, this unit ensures top-quality purification with minimal energy consumption.

DEVICE OPERATION:
1. Initial Stage (MS Magnetic Separator):
- First, the coolant containing metal chips and other magnetic contaminants passes through the MS magnetic separator.
- This separator is equipped with a rotating magnetic drum, which attracts and holds magnetic impurities on its surface.
- The coolant, now cleared of metal particles, flows forward, while the contaminants are removed from the drum surface by a special scraper.

2. Main Stage (PS Filter Fleece Separator):
- Next, the coolant flows through the PS fleece separator, where it is filtered by a special filter fleece.
- This fabric retains fine particles, such as grinding dust or other contaminants. As contaminants build up, they create an additional filtering layer, increasing filtration efficiency.
- When the accumulated contaminants reach the maximum allowable level, a float switch activates the automatic movement of the fleece, winding the used material onto a roller while feeding a new, clean section of fabric into place.

The process operates automatically.
