General Description:
CNC manual input control system with program input via function and numeric keypad. All information is entered in dialogue with the screen. Integrated menu navigation and plain text display of all functions. Control keyboard, screen, and handwheel are housed in a separate chip protection cover.
The EPL control offers the following features:
Programs can be entered and edited directly by the operator via the EPL control without manual program preparation.
NC programs in ISO/EIA format can be entered, output, or directly input manually via the serial interface RS 232.
Machining cycles:
Turning cycles for longitudinal, facing, and contour turning, including stock allowance. Thread cutting. Undercuts as per DIN 509 Form E and F and DIN 76, grinding allowance programmable. Axial and radial grooves according to DIN 471 and 472, including bottom finishing. Radii 90° and chamfers 45°. Automatic cutter radius compensation for cycles, undercuts, grooves, radius, and chamfering.
Programming:
Block-oriented, metric/inch, diameter in absolute input, radius in incremental input, full circle programming, subprogram technique, skip levels for program sections. Zero offset. Operating mode selection via menu.
Program input and output:
Menu-guided dialogue with operator prompts or direct dialogue.
