General description:
CNC manual input control with programming via function keys and numeric keypad. All information is entered interactively with the display screen. Integrated menu technology and all functions displayed in plain text. Operator keyboard, screen, and handwheel in a separate chip protection housing.
The EPL control offers the following capabilities:
Programs can be entered and modified without manual programming skills, guided directly by EPL control.
NC programs in ISO/EIA standard can be entered via the RS 232 serial interface, output, or entered directly by hand.

Machining cycles:
Machining cycles for longitudinal, face, and contour turning, including machining allowances. Thread cutting. Undercuts according to DIN 509-Form E & F and DIN 76, also grinding allowance programmable. Axial and radial grooves as per DIN 471 & 472, also with bottom finishing. Radii 90° and chamfers 45°. Automatic tool nose radius compensation for cycles: undercut, groove, radius, chamfer.

Programming:
Block-oriented, metric/inch, diameter in absolute input, radius in incremental input, full circle programming, subroutine technique, skip levels for program sections. Zero offset. Operating mode selection via menu.
