Workpieces are clamped between centers and formed using synchronized, counter-moving rack tools. Material is displaced and formed by the increasing profile height in the rack tool. In the tool's calibration zone, profile and surface finish are optimized. No profile overrun is required as with milling or shaping. The machine features an exceptionally robust design. Tool life can reach 25,000 to 100,000 pieces, even with helical gears.
