Automatic edging line for sawn timber

Complete automatic edging plant for sawn timber, manufactured by EWD Esterer (Germany), a brand renowned for reliability and accuracy in the wood processing industry.

The line consists of an integrated system that ensures a continuous and automated flow of material, from infeed to final outfeed. The process starts with a horizontal belt conveyor, followed by a board singulation system to ensure proper material alignment. There is an end trimming station and an automatic feeder that delivers boards directly to the EWD/Esterer edger, model DK 90 T2L2.

At the outfeed, the material is handled via an offcut separation system and then conveyed onto a roller conveyor approximately 15 meters long, equipped with two side ejectors (right and left) that allow automatic selection between short material (up to 250 cm) and long material (up to 300 cm).
