The horizontal band saw for metal, equipped with a swiveling arm, enables cutting perpendicular to the axis of the material as well as at any angle from 0 to 60°. The drive from the electric motor to the drive wheel for the cutting band is transmitted via a MECHANICAL gearbox (not belt-driven). The cutting band is tensioned between two cast iron wheels using a manual tensioner and guided by a set of bearing-mounted rollers.

The workpiece can be fed by hand or with any mechanical device, while the blade feed is gravity-powered, utilizing oil flow within a dual-chamber hydraulic cylinder. The required lowering speed of the arm is regulated by a valve controlling oil flow between the chambers. The band guides are equipped with sets of bearing-mounted rollers, which significantly improve band guidance, durability, straightness, cutting accuracy, and quality.

The robust arm is made of PROFILED CAST IRON. A control panel is located next to the arm.

The base is built as a rigid frame welded from steel sheet. Inside, there is a separate coolant tank with an electric pump. The upper part of the base forms a tray for draining coolant and collecting chips produced during the cutting process. The base houses a work table made of cast iron, with a swiveling arm and a control panel on a separate arm. The main cutting motion is performed by the band movement, while the feed is carried out by the lowering of the arm. The arm's descent speed (cutting speed) is regulated by a hydraulic cylinder.

When the arm reaches its lowest position (after the cut is complete), the band drive is automatically switched off. Safety is ensured by band guards and micro-switches which stop the motor at the end of the cutting cycle or when any guard is opened. An additional safety feature automatically switches off the saw if the band breaks.
