- The CNC lathe was dropped during installation works from the pallet truck being used and toppled over, rotating 90° onto the courtyard paving. The machine was recovered and set upright after the fall. According to the documented and traceable fall, mechanical damage in the form of deformations, dents, distortion, grooves as well as scratches and scuff marks were found on the front of the machine. The visible damage affected various cover panels as well as the door/door handle to the interior. No further damages were identified in its current displayed state, however, due to the nature of the incident, further damages cannot be ruled out. In particular, damage to the machine bed, the control unit, the drive, as well as to the various axes of the turning unit are possible. Therefore, in addition to the conspicuous and visually observable damages described, further hidden defects and functional impairments cannot be excluded.
