Technical Data – Input Hopper with Hydraulic Walking Floor and Bag Opener for Recyclables from Yellow Bags and Commercial Waste:

Machine Condition:
The input hopper with bag opener was previously used at a large recycling facility, where recyclables from yellow bags or commercial waste were loaded into the hopper by wheel loaders. The bags were opened by the bag opener, with the recyclables either fed into a sorting plant or commercial waste transferred for further processing in a metered manner. The system operated flawlessly until it was dismantled and replaced with a larger unit with higher throughput capacity. The machine was disassembled into individual components in our workshop, partially refurbished, reassembled, and tested under operating conditions.
The following refurbishment work was carried out and the following spare parts were replaced:
- Disassembly of input hopper and bag opener into individual components; cleaning, partial sandblasting, priming, and painting of steel parts.
- Various wear and cover plates were newly fabricated and installed.
- Removal of worn ends (approx. 40 cbm) of walking floor tubes. Welding and smoothing of new tubes.
- Complete replacement of the sliding plastic plates for the hydraulic walking floor.
- Removal of the hydraulic unit from the walking floor, draining of the hydraulic oil tank, replacement of oil filters, refill with new hydraulic oil.
- Renewal of all three hydraulic blocks, all valves, sight glass and all hydraulic hoses from the hydraulic unit.
- On all three walking floor hydraulic cylinders, the seal sets and hydraulic hoses were replaced.
- All six end switches (proximity sensors) of the walking floor were replaced.
- The conveyor chains on both left and right sides of the drag chain conveyor were renewed.
- Seven driver slats of the drag chain conveyor were replaced.
- The drive motor of the tearing discs was replaced.
- All nine pneumatic cylinders for the pressure pipes were replaced. All pneumatic lines and fittings were renewed.
- All sliding plastic plates for the hydraulic adjustment of the bag opener were replaced. The bag opener can be moved in depth to allow the system to be used for commercial or residual waste without utilizing the bag opener.
- On both sides, the lateral collision protection plates were replaced.
- Various wear parts of the bag opener were replaced.
- The entire system was electrically rewired and connected.
- The system control in the switch cabinet was retrofitted by BRT Hartner to autonomous single control and the standard program was reinstalled into the control system.
- The system was commissioned and tested by BRT Hartner, see the function video.
