1.3 Headstock
The spindle collet diameter in the headstock is 240 mm. The spindle's faceplate has a diameter of 620 mm. The chuck jaws are hydraulically adjustable between 80 and 620 mm. Both concentric and incremental adjustments are possible.

The faceplate spindle speed is adjustable between 5 and 500 rpm.
Speed range 1: 5 to 143 rpm
Speed range 2: 17 to 500 rpm
Speed range overlap: Range 1 up to 120 rpm, range 2 starting at 80 rpm.
By switching from turning to milling operation, the faceplate acts as the C-axis, allowing speeds from 0.01 to 2.5 rpm.

1.4 Tailstock
The tailstock has a quill with a diameter of 200 mm and a travel of 300 mm.
The movement of the tailstock quill is carried out either manually via a push button or automatically via M-functions.
The quill compensates for thermal expansion of the workpiece, which is activated by M50.
The tailstock is moved on a motorized carriage, which can be operated either by a push button or automatically by programming function M55 H.... Clamping of the tailstock carriage and the quill is automatic.
