Cooling Performance
An open evaporative cooling tower has no fixed, single kW cooling capacity, as the actual capacity is entirely dependent on thermodynamic ambient conditions and system temperatures.

Under typical industrial or HVAC standard conditions, the nominal cooling capacity for this model ranges from approximately 1,200 kW to 2,100 kW.

Why Does Cooling Capacity Vary?
- Wet-bulb temperature (outside air): The cooler and drier the ambient air, the more water can evaporate and the higher the cooling capacity.
- Water temperatures: Performance strongly varies depending on the entering hot water temperature (e.g., 35°C) and exiting cold water temperature (e.g., 29°C).

- Airflow: According to BAC spec, the S15E 1018-10 LE actively moves 60.0 m³/s of air through three integrated 11.0 kW axial fan motors.
If fan speed is reduced by variable frequency drive (for example, during night operation or in winter), cooling capacity decreases proportionally.
- Approach: This is the most important thermodynamic limit. It represents the difference between the desired cold water temperature and the physical wet-bulb temperature. The closer the cold water approaches the wet-bulb temperature (smaller approach), the less kW capacity the tower provides.
