Areva Teleperm XS Control Cabinet

Standard Assembly Technology
For the assembly of Teleperm XS systems, standard control cabinets of type SC 9422 (2200 x 900 x 400 mm deep), protection class IP30, are typically used.
The cabinet is equipped with cable strain relief devices with shield rails.
The cabinet is designed for seismic loads.
Cable entry and power supply are generally from below.
Module racks are mounted in the central section of the standard cabinet.
To the left and right of these are areas for mounting cabinet interface components and transceivers.
Terminal blocks are used to connect peripheral cables.
Other connection techniques, such as Maxi-Termi-Point, are also possible.
Field cables must be shielded with individually twisted pairs.
Buses are implemented inside a cabinet using conventional cables, and outside the cabinet via fiber optic cables.
Teleperm XS is suitable for systems with area-wide grounding as well as systems with central grounding (ZEP).

Module Racks
Depending on the application, various configurations of module racks are used.
The standard version of the module rack has a continuous backplane bus and provides 21 slots.
If a large number of signals need to be captured, expansion module racks can be connected.

The following variants are also supported:
- Split module racks with two smaller, independent computers (10 slots each, each with its own fan and power supply)
- Mixed configurations such as the compact grouping of a computer with its associated signal conditioning modules
