Areva Teleperm XS Control Cabinet

Standard Enclosure Technology
For the installation of Teleperm XS systems, control cabinets of type SC 9422 (2200 x 900 x 400 mm deep), protection class IP30, are typically used.
The cabinet is equipped with cable grip fixtures and a shield rail.
It is designed for seismic loads.
Cable entry and power supply are generally from below.
Within the standard cabinet, module carriers are mounted in the central area.
To the left and right, there are areas for installing cabinet connection elements and transceivers.
Terminal blocks are used to connect peripheral cables.
Other connection technologies, such as Maxi-Termi-Point, are also possible.
Field cables must be shielded and have pairs of twisted conductors.
Buses are implemented within a cabinet via conventional cables, while fibre optic cables are used for connections outside the cabinet.
Teleperm XS is suitable for systems with either distributed or central grounding (ZEP).

Module Carriers
Depending on the application, different configurations of module carriers are used.
In the basic version, the module carrier features a continuous backplane bus and offers 21 slots.
If large volumes of signals need to be processed, extension module carriers can be connected.

The following variants are also supported:
- Split module carriers with two smaller, independent CPUs (each with 10 slots, individual fans, and separate power supplies)
- Mixed configurations, such as compact units combining CPUs with related signal conditioning modules
