In every calculation relating to the economy and public life, waste transport is a key factor. Here, it is not so much the weight but rather the volume that matters. The constantly rising transport costs for this waste are increasingly becoming an economic problem.

Waste disposal of large quantities of polystyrene or packaging film is particularly important in retail environments. The VOLUME REDUCER achieves a volume reduction of up to 80 percent at this stage. Bottles of any kind and size, e.g. sparkling wine bottles, can be shredded easily without the need for a pressing device.

It is also possible to unpack expired food products. Furthermore, rejected items such as pharmaceuticals, data carriers, or counterfeit products can be rendered unusable. Food residues and organic waste, even bones, can be shredded, collected, and converted into electricity and heat in biogas plants using the VR60.

Consider, for example, a reverse vending machine for deposit bottles. The PET bottles are compressed and, due to the barcode, secured until collection.

By deploying the VOLUME REDUCER, the barcodes on PET bottles can be rendered unrecognizable, allowing for significant volume reduction. The shredded bottles can subsequently be collected in a large container, eliminating the need for daily collections from return points. The vertically moving, wear-free knives of the shredder ensure quiet and blockage-free operation.
