Compact, highly efficient combined heat and power (CHP) unit featuring a state-of-the-art SCANIA V8 cylinder, lean-burn turbocharged 4-stroke gas Otto engine. The genset, gas pressure regulation line, and integrated mixture and engine water cooling circuits are mounted on a base frame for the generation of electricity and heat with a high-quality synchronous generator (3-phase, 400V, 50Hz) for grid-parallel operation. Optimized heat extraction is achieved via a plate heat exchanger for heating water/process heat with a supply/return temperature level of 85°C / 70°C.

OPTIONAL: Equipped with a catalytic converter (optional SCR system) for low-emission operation compliant with the MCP Directive (EU) and 44th BImSchV (DE).

The CHP unit features a control cabinet with a display visualizing all relevant operating parameters, including a DSL modem for remote maintenance and external monitoring, as well as an interface for balancing energy connection to the E2M energy control system. Delivery includes a grid starter to provide optimum cranking speed, as well as a gas detector, smoke detector, emergency stop switch, and visual/audible alarm (strobe light/horn).
All piping is constructed of stainless steel (V2A) and insulated where required.
To ensure the engines remain at operating temperature, the installed heat pumps are programmed to start in a predetermined cycle to maintain the desired temperature.
An automatic gas shut-off valve for installation outside the CHP installation room is not included in the delivery scope.

The CHP complies with the medium-voltage directive VDE-AR-N 4110:2018-11.

Alternatively, the CHP can also be delivered in a container.

The entire genset is also available in a natural gas configuration.
