The Carl Zeiss Axiovert 40C is an inverted routine microscope, specifically designed for the examination of living cells and cell cultures in biology and medicine. Thanks to its inverted design, the objectives are positioned beneath the specimen stage, allowing observation in larger culture vessels such as Petri dishes or microtiter plates.

Optics: Equipped with the ZEISS ICS system (Infinity Color-corrected System) for high optical performance across all contrast techniques.

Illumination: Standard configuration includes a 12 V 35 W halogen lamp for transmitted light; optionally, an HBO 50 mercury vapor lamp can be used for fluorescence applications (CFL model).

Camera Mount: The Axiovert 40C model features an integrated photo port (C-mount adapter) at the front for digital documentation.
