Thumm SU100 P Electric UV Dip Impregnation System with Exhaust Air Purification System

The electric UV impregnation process is an innovative dipping method for low-voltage round wire windings. In this process, a low direct voltage is applied to the winding, generating the required process heat very efficiently via current flow. When the pre-heated winding is dipped, the impregnating resin becomes thin-bodied and can thus penetrate even the smallest cavities. Continued heating causes the impregnation resin to gel on the hot conductors, while excess resin can drain off the cooler laminated core after dipping.

The winding is heated and dried via electrical current. UV lamps cure the photosensitive resin on the laminated core.

Eliminating conventional oven drying saves both energy and time. Combined with the use of a low-emission impregnating resin, this results in a highly positive environmental balance.
