1. General Description
The draw oil preparation unit is designed for the optimal treatment of unfinished tubes prior to the drawing process. A large-volume draw oil bath ensures homogeneous wetting of the tube surface. This provides uniform lubrication, reduces friction during drawing, improves tube surface quality, and extends tool life.
A constant material flow, as well as stable bath temperature and quality, make this unit a central process step in efficient tube manufacturing.

3. Function Principle
Immersion Bath & Medium Preparation
• Uniform lubrication via complete wetting in the draw oil bath
• Tubes installed within the tank walls provide oil heating via the heat recovery unit of the furnace
• Circulation of the reactive oil: Chemetall process, 12 cycles per hour
• Prevention of water pockets: Precise water dosing; compressed air injection as required
• Bath monitoring: Regular sample collection
• Dosing station: Automatic replenishment (oil/water)

• Drip-off time & dwell time at 3 drip-off stations
