Opis
The BF-Comet is equipped with Saki's unique line scan camera imaging concept and vector analysis, and can be used for any inspection tasks (SMD, THT) both before and after soldering.
Due to the extremely short cycle times, the operator practically never has to wait. This makes Saki technology particularly suitable for benchtop use. The high-precision line scan camera forms the core unit of the Saki imaging concept.
During image acquisition, the circuit board is moved along one axis under the stationary optical system. Here, the line scan camera records the image line by line, with each line being captured four times, alternating with the various light sources.
Within just a few seconds, an image of the entire circuit board is available for inspection and programming.
Variable and constant illumination methods are essential for reliable image analysis. The Saki system includes three central, variable units: coaxial (top), side-facing (side), and low-angle (low) light sources.
Thanks to the line scan imaging concept, every component on the circuit board, regardless of its location, is always at the same distance and angle to the respective illumination. This results in uniformly illuminated images for precise analysis.
The so-called top-light unit is a 100% coaxial light source, which is fed into the vertical camera view via a half-mirror. As a result, a shadow-free image is created for 2D inspection—especially important for reliable solder joint inspection and inspections between tall components.
The MLT illumination provides clear color differentiation between tinned/soldered and untinned areas. Surfaces without tin or with poor wetting are displayed in shades of red and can be reliably detected using color recognition algorithms.
Foreign objects, such as misplaced components, solder balls, scratches, or other defects, can also be detected with Saki’s ECD function during programming with minimal additional effort. Since a complete image of the circuit board is already available, this function only requires a few additional seconds of inspection (processing time).
Foreign object inspection
- Automatic library creation.
Saki’s KPK function automatically generates a library with presence inspection tailored to the assembled components for any unrecognized/new components detected.
- Automatic X/Y coordinate generation for THT solder joints.
If layout data (CAD) for THT solder joints is missing, automatic generation based on an unsoldered and a soldered circuit board is possible using this function.
- Programming wizard
For the entire programming process—from CAD data import, data alignment, and assignment of libraries—the software offers a wizard to guide the programmer.
