It is suitable as a 4th axis on engraving and milling machines for engraving, laser processing, drilling, slotting, milling, or use on a tool or surface grinding machine. Square, hexagonal, and gear milling of any division, or 3D machining, are possible.

Precision worm gear drive with 100:1 ratio. Output torque well over 25 Nm. The drive is provided by a controlled stepper motor with 1.8 degree step angle, 3.2A current, holding torque 1.2 Nm. The worm and worm wheel are manufactured in-house, guaranteeing the highest adjustment precision. The pair is supported by four ball bearings, set with no backlash and is also adjustable.

The solid, one-piece output spindle is equipped with a faceplate (d=108 mm) featuring an internal taper MK1 and 10.3 mm through bore (optional internal thread M12).

The electronic control unit included in the package is a handy module with 14 travel programs, 2 reference point operations, step monitoring, and a power supply.

Optimised pre-programming is possible in 360 (for milling operations), 180, 120, 90, 72, 60, 45, 36, 30, 20, 10, 5, 1, and 0.02 degree incremental repeat cycles. Forward and reverse operation as well as cycle pauses are, of course, programmable.

With the software, you can program travel programs and cycles, configure absolute or incremental movement values, and continuously monitor the actual position of the rotary axis. Via an output, you can receive start impulses from your NC machine. This allows for fast and easy manufacture of complex scale graduations, cross holes, or gears.

Additionally, you can now sequence multiple different movement angles with a single start pulse, e.g.: incrementally 30 degrees, then 3 degrees, then 90 degrees, then 1.45 degrees—with or without pauses, as well as reverse movement.

Ideal for Hermle, Chiron, DMG Mori, Maho, Deckel FP1, G1, Jung, Mikron, or Gravograph.
NEW: All 16 movement steps, as well as start and reference commands, can now optionally be externally controlled by your NC controller via M-functions.
