Multibend 2000 RAS 74.30 folding machine from RAS Reinhardt Maschinenbau GmbH — a universal folding machine with a swiveling beam, CNC control, a wide selection of segmented tools, and a working length of 3,200 mm, designed for bending steel sheets (400 MPa). A manual or intelligent crowning system is integrated directly into the bending beam to ensure precise and uniform bends along the entire length. The elastic deformation of the bending beam depends on the sheet thickness, its strength, properties, working length, and position on the support beam. Sensors built into the bending beam detect the actual deflection over the initial 10 degrees of bending, and the system commands actuators to adjust the beam's camber. This compensates for beam deflection. The control system stores all parameters for each new bend and utilizes them in the future. The bending line is always perfectly straight with the specified radius, regardless of the thickness, length, ductility, strength of the metal, segment heights, or their position in the bending zone on the beam.
