Power & Free Conveyor Systems

Overhead Power & Free conveyor systems are equipped with free trolleys that are driven by chains and carriers, moving materials to specific locations.

The carriers are attached to the free trolleys and are usually engaged with the drive chain by a pusher mounted on the free trolley. The pusher can be disengaged by a cam action, either within the free trolley or at the chain pusher, triggered by accumulation behind another free trolley or activation of a stop blade. While the chain continues to move, the carrier remains stationary until the free trolley is re-engaged with the chain.
