This assembly system is a production line consisting of a total of three modules, which are interconnected by conveyor belts. In the first segment, individual consumable materials are fed in via rollers, folded, the nose clip is integrated, welded, and then cut to the correct length. The finished, cut masks are transported via an indexing conveyor and transfer belts to the next units, which are arranged in parallel. In these units, the ear bands are fed in and welded to the masks.

The line is suitable for producing surgical and general-purpose medical masks made from 1- or 3-layer PP nonwoven fabric.

System Design

The basic structure of each cell consists of an aluminum profile system with pivoting Makrolon doors. For the necessary process stability, the stations are mounted on a solid aluminum tabletop. The control cabinets are integrated into the main frame. The system further includes 3 ultrasonic welding stations, Siemens PLC control, and various pneumatic components from Festo.

The machine is currently not in operation and was regularly maintained during its service life. It is currently stored in a dismantled state, with each module protected from dust.
