OctoFrost IQF 7/2 LH tunnel freezer

Octofrost IQF 7/2 LH Tunnel Freezer on ammonia (NH3) in excellent condition. IQF stands for Individually Quick Freezing and is specifically designed for rapidly freezing smaller pieces of food. This minimizes the formation of ice crystals within products such as vegetables, berries, cheese, meat, and fish. The freezer is complete with infeed/outfeed, control cabinets, evaporators, and a Siemens Simatic panel control system. Products are loaded onto the infeed conveyor at approximately 1560 mm height. They are then transported through the Octofrost via a vibratory belt. This belt features a drop to separate the product and remove excess ice from the exterior. The belt is approximately 8100 mm long and 850 mm wide. Once frozen to the correct core temperature, the product exits at a height of 1250 mm from the outfeed. The freezer features three inspection hatches for product monitoring while on the belt.

The OctoFrost is equipped with two NH3 evaporators which freeze product to the core temperature of -18 °C. There are 7 centrifugal fans, each directly driven by an ABB M3AA 132 MB electric motor with the following specifications: 50 Hz – 11 kW – 1,450 RPM – 630 mm diameter. These fans blow air upwards through perforations in the belt, preventing product from freezing to the belt. The side panel slides out for easy inspection and cleaning of the evaporators and fans as needed.

In addition, the Octofrost comes with the corresponding control cabinet, which is equipped with 7 ABB frequency converters for the conveyor belts, 3 Key Technology MFS 268 XL frequency converters for belt vibration, and a Siemens panel for freezer control.
