This surface grinding machine with fixed table is based on the R.V. 500 model, but differs due to its long, quadruple-bearing column with an additional robust column support. Thanks to its rigidity and geometric stability, this surface grinder is ideally suited for grinding precision parts of considerable height: individual or series parts from toolmaking, dies, molds, gears, and much more. The nuts of the vertical feed spindle and the locating pins for axis alignment on this fixed-table grinder also ensure permanently optimal working conditions.

Cast iron bed for permanent geometric stability of the grinding machine. Cast iron column, protected by bellows and mounted in four adjustable precision bearings, generously dimensioned for this type of fixed-table grinder. Three-phase motor with double-jacket air cooling to prevent motor overheating during continuous operation and to keep the temperature of the motor shaft and bearings constant. Hardened, ground, and dynamically balanced spindle, mounted in precision ball bearings, generously dimensioned for this fixed-table grinder type and self-adjusting via spring preload to compensate for thermal expansion. Vertical feed spindle mounted in opposing, adjustable ball bearings with optimum movement, ensuring the grinding wheel area remains unobstructed and free from dust deposits in this fixed-table grinder model. Metal bellows for better protection of the grinding machine’s vertical feed spindle. Opposing bronze nuts compensate for long-term wear of the vertical feed spindle in the fixed-table grinder. Alignment pins serve to align the grinder motor to the axis, thus ensuring parallel surfaces over time.

The handwheel of the grinder is triple-mounted and connected to the spindle via two helical gears. It is equipped with a graduated drum, supported by an axial bearing, enabling material removal of 0.01 - 0.02 - 0.03 mm per pass. Rapid traverse per handwheel revolution is 2 mm. A rotary knob with lever enables programmable micrometric feed of 0.01 - 0.02 - 0.03 - 0.04 mm per increment, simplifying operation by eliminating the need for continuous step control. A slot enables optimal use of the grinding wheel’s working height and clamping of non-magnetic parts and accessories such as magnetic chuck, self-centering chuck, and angle plates.
