Ceramic abrasives are particularly suitable for processing hard materials—such as steel—but are also ideal for deburring aluminum parts. Their higher density results in greater pressure on the workpiece and ensures excellent grinding performance. Compared to plastic media, they are significantly more durable and cost-efficient.

When selecting the appropriate abrasive media, it is important to consider the optimal configuration for grinding performance, surface finish, shape, and size.

- Triangles & Triangle Angled-Cut (D & DS): Thanks to their edges, these are excellent for deburring and also reach many complex areas on the workpiece.

- Tridents (DZ): Also reach difficult-to-access areas, such as grooves or gear teeth.

- Cylinders & Cylinder Angled-Cut (Z & ZS): Their round shape makes them ideal for even surface finishing, e.g., in polishing processes. Due to their slim dimensions, cylinders are generally easy to separate.

- Ellipses & Ellipse Angled-Cut (E & ES): Also suitable for polishing and smoothing. Their corners allow them to reach deeper areas on the workpiece.

- Angles (W): Combine the advantages of triangles and tridents. Their “wings” access complex areas, while the compact, edged shape is ideal for deburring and generates effective pressure on the workpiece.
