Automatic Feed Control AD 5
The FSM series models are equipped with automatic feed control (AD 5). Various grinding cycles are available: surface grinding with infeed at the starting point, slot grinding with infeed at the starting point, and slot grinding with infeed at both the start and end points. The feed of the grinding wheel can be individually set according to the workpiece. The total grinding allowance is divided into coarse and fine infeed; the infeed increments can be entered freely, depending on the application, with a minimum resolution of up to 0.001 mm. The option to program idle passes after a certain number of infeed steps, as well as spark-out passes upon reaching the grinding allowance, ensures optimal grinding results.
