Mathis THN 10988 Laboratory Thermosol Unit
Application
This foulard-dryer combination has proven to be highly effective in practical use. It is designed for a wide range of treatment processes in hot air applications such as drying, fixing, condensing, and thermosoling, among others. The unit is utilized wherever a certain sample size is already required, for example, when producing sample collections or similar.
Dryer THA
If fouard and dryer operation are required both in continuous and separate modes, the THA type dryer is the preferred choice. This device features an unwinding unit at the dryer’s inlet and a take-off system at its outlet. When operated individually, this element determines the fabric speed. This offers the advantage of being able to use the foulard and dryer independently and simultaneously. For processes such as drying, fixing, and condensing, the material is then loaded onto the dryer.
If all of the above applications must be ensured and pin frame operation in solo dryer use is required, the THN model is preferable. The standard pin frames are suitable for sample sizes up to max. 50 x 50 cm (larger frames available upon request). Options include longitudinally adjustable frames for woven fabrics or lengthwise and widthwise adjustable material holders for knitted and warp-knitted fabrics, nonwovens, etc., as well as clamping frames for films and paper.
Drying Chamber
The drying chamber is mounted together with the electrical equipment box and control panel on a base frame, forming a single unit. Optimal heat insulation is achieved with a double-walled construction with insulation between layers.
The nozzle field, 1300 mm in length, is divided into upper and lower nozzle compartments. Airflow can be adjusted via a regulating flap for uniform ventilation above/below or with more air from above or below as needed.
Fan and Heating
Intensive air circulation is provided by a high-performance fan with a capacity of approx. 900–3500 m³/h, combined with optimally matched heating output, resulting in excellent evaporation performance. A dual safety monitoring system reduces maintenance requirements and increases operational safety. The heating capacity is designed for rapid heat-up and is automatically reduced once the desired temperature is reached to prevent unnecessary power peaks. Temperature control is achieved via an electronic measuring and control unit within the range of 20–250°C. Fresh air is fed directly into the circulating fan via a separate fan, with the desired airflow rate adjustable in steps.
