ZEMAN CZS LINE – SPECIFICATIONS
The fully automatic “PURLIN” line, ZEMAN’s flagship product, is used for the production of open, cold-formed sections such as C, Z, and Sigma profiles in various widths and shapes. This is made possible by the fully automatic adjustment of the profile rollers. As raw material, coils up to 750 mm wide and sheet thicknesses between 1.25 mm and 3 mm, with steel grades up to S-390 and below, can be processed. The machine is designed to produce components up to 15 m in length. The width of the specially hardened profiling rollers is infinitely adjustable via dedicated software. A fully integrated punching device creates all types of fixing holes. The entire process is continuous, i.e., the material does not stop for individual operations like punching or cross-cutting. To ensure high production efficiency, the line speed is dynamically optimized. The machine accelerates and decelerates automatically without operator intervention.
A decoiler with a maximum working load of 15 tons is mounted on a carriage and allows for precise centering of the material strip ahead of the straightening machine.
The straightening machine, together with a crescent leveling system, straightens the material, ensures the required flatness of the sheet, and reduces the crescent shape on the conveyor belt.
2. Punching Area
This area features five double, “flying” punching portals, which can be equipped with 20 small (up to 40 mm) or 10 large (up to 100 mm) tooling sets (punches and dies) for punching fixing holes.
A combination of these tools is also possible.
3. Pre-cut Shear
A “flying” shear is used for pre-cutting the holes for the cutting shear. This ensures material continuity and leads to a more precise profile, especially at the beginning and end. It is an adaptive guillotine that adjusts the width of the cut hole to the width of the metal strip.

4. Guide Carriage / SIGMA Modules
The guide carriage centers the metal band before entry into the roll forming machine. It is interchangeable with the module for producing Sigma profiles. For the production of S+ profiles, the guide carriage is removed and two Sigma modules are installed. These modules automatically and independently position themselves to the left and right.
6. Rotary Cut-off Saw
The rotary cut-off saw with hook blades separates the profile from the material strip at the end of the process. It uses the holes produced by the pre-cut shear. It is a “flying” cut-off, so the metal does not stop during cutting. Depending on the desired profile, a correspondingly aligned cutting cassette is used.
7. Receiving Table
The receiving table is used for the automatic unloading of finished profiles from the roller conveyor. The elements are then manually bundled into a package. The design enables easy package bundling. The table is designed to accommodate profiles up to 15 meters long and allows access by forklift or overhead crane to pick up the profile package.
