The compressed air blasting machines of the SBM series are mobile units designed for advanced surface treatment using compressed air and abrasive media. The advantageous conical bottom design facilitates abrasive flow, and the option to use various valve types makes the system suitable for all types of abrasives with spherical, round, and/or angular shapes and any grain size.
SBM series blasting systems can achieve surface quality up to class SA-3/SP5 and a capacity of up to 106 m²/h. The sandblasters of the SBM series are fitted with large claw couplings to ensure quick and secure connections while allowing high compressed air flow rates. The abrasive media is loaded via a pneumatically operated rubber diaphragm—eliminating inefficient screw connections—which makes the SBM series blasting systems safer and easier to operate. The unit also features a large inspection valve for fast tank emptying and internal inspections. SBM series blasters allow for simultaneous operation with one or two blast nozzles (depending on the model).
Control of the blasting unit (available in pneumatic or electric versions) is intuitive and precise, as the control lever is located at the end of the hose assembly. A key benefit of this design is that the operator performing cleaning can directly stop machine operation per the latest health and safety regulations (option available as an add-on).
The SBM blaster pressure vessel is designed and manufactured in accordance with the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU, based on and under the supervision of a notified body, and is CE marked.
