The NC joining modules NCFH type 2151B... feature a robust housing incorporating a displacement sensor (absolute encoder) and an integrated piezoelectric tension/compression force sensor. The pressure or tension forces acting on the sensor generate a proportional electrical charge in the piezoelectric measuring element. This charge is converted into an analog voltage signal by the integrated charge amplifier.

The drive motor is an electronically commutated AC servo hollow-shaft motor, controlled by a servo amplifier. Constant speed—i.e., consistent feed rate—is ensured. Standard functions such as joining to block, position, force-controlled joining, as well as movement to intermediate positions, are supported.
