Saw Unit Guidance

High-performance sawing technology requires backlash-free and low-maintenance guidance systems. Two vertically aligned square guide columns, one linear guide unit with backlash-free carriages, plus two preloaded and adjustable guide rollers on a guide rail, ensure high rigidity and cutting accuracy. The new KASTOtec features greater cutting capacity, shorter cycle times, increased blade life, maintenance-free guidance systems, and high availability.

Saw Blade Guidance

Side guidance via hydraulically preloaded carbide slide guides with quick-lift function for fast blade change. Back guidance via oscillating carbide slide guides. Automatic adjustment of the moveable blade guide according to the workpiece width.

Material Lift-off Device

Upon completion of the sawing operation in automatic cycle, the workpiece is retracted approx. 2 mm from the feed-side saw blade under clamping using the lift-off device (to increase blade life).
