Heat recovery reduces operating costs and benefits the environment. By reusing waste heat, up to 96% of the energy consumed by the compressor can be recovered. Using a plate-type heat exchanger (PTG), up to 76% of the compressor’s energy consumption can be recovered as hot water. Each litre of fuel saved reduces CO₂ emissions by 2.727 kg, benefiting the environment and significantly reducing energy costs. In today's energy price climate, the payback period for a heat recovery system ranges from 6 months to 2 years (when connecting recovered heat to the heating system via a plate heat exchanger).
