THE PRECISE 3-ROLL BENDING MACHINE

The development of this compact and mobile horizontal bending machine was clearly focused on the production of dimensionally accurate spirals, such as handrails for spiral staircases. This represents the highest level of complexity, as two interdependent variables (radius and pitch) must come together in a single bend to create a precise geometry. The interaction between pipe calculation on a PC, implementation on the bending machine, and monitoring with measuring devices, including final corrections of bending parameters, ensures accurate bending. With just a few simple entries in the PC pipe calculation program, the local printer provides a printout supporting the calculation of all necessary bending and correction data for machine operation. A new, powerful drive concept enables stepless adjustment of the bending speed, requiring only a 230 V (single-phase) power connection. Both hardened steel tools and surface-friendly, hard plastic tools are available. To ensure optimal feed, even for tight bending radii, all three bending rollers are driven. The drive concept proves its worth in daily heavy-duty use, whether working on flat surfaces or bending pipes and profiles. Customers of the 4800, 5000, and 6000 bending systems have the option of purchasing the roll bending unit without the drive. The roll bending unit, designated RB43, can be adapted to the 4800, 5000, and 6000 systems via the bending shaft. In this configuration, the machines serve as the drive unit.
