The machine is perfectly suited for winding thin materials, such as film or paper, into log rolls and then cutting them to size.

A special feature of this unit is that it is capable of winding log rolls without a core. This means the rolls are essentially wound upon themselves, which in turn leads to savings in both cost and weight.

Materials with a width of up to 1700 mm can be processed.

The rewinder can operate at speeds of up to 300 meters per minute and maintains the selected speed consistently, without stopping.

This is possible because the Olbrich develops a so-called buffer during running production, which is reduced at the moment when winding stops, the finished roll is cut, and a new roll is started.
