GRAFS CG

The GRAFS CG series grinder is designed for sharpening knives used primarily in the woodworking and recycling industries. The machine is available with two electromagnetic table lengths: 1000 mm and 1500 mm (depending on the order specification).

The grinder features a range of enhancements that ensure high-quality sharpening over many years of use. It is equipped with a rotary electromagnetic chuck and also allows for knife clamping using special clamps on the opposite side of the table. The chuck allows for an angle adjustment of ±120 degrees. Proper cooling of sharpened surfaces is ensured by a cooling system with a reservoir and magnetic coolant separator with a rotary drum—the MS60 model. The filter and tank are housed inside the machine, thus reducing the overall footprint required for installation. Our design allows the machine to be installed in confined spaces, offering exceptional convenience.

The standard motor power of the grinder is 4 kW. A specialized clamping fixture developed by our company allows for quick and easy removal and installation of the grinding wheel, requiring only three locking screws.

The carriage is fitted with premium-class rolling bearings (PWTR type), guaranteeing smooth and quiet operation. The carriage runs on hardened steel rails.

Additionally, as standard, the grinder features an adjustable carriage speed system (potentiometer and frequency inverter).

The machine is exceptionally suitable for sharpening knives that demand high rigidity, such as chipper knives, granulator knives, and planer knives.

Standard features of the GRAFS CG machine:
- Easy grinding wheel advancement using a handwheel (mechanical feed available as an optional extra)
- Easy grinding wheel installation (special mounting fixture designed by our company enables quick setup using three clamping screws)
- Efficient sharpening of both soft steels and high-hardness materials such as NC11LV, HSS, and WIDIA carbide
- Internal coolant tank with pump (standard)
- Robust and rigid vibration-free construction, welded body from 10 mm thick plates and reinforced ribbing for high rigidity, with the carriage and support frame made of 20 mm thick steel plates
- 4 kW grinding spindle motor (fitted with special reinforced spindle bearings eliminating axial play)
- Powerful electromagnetic chuck, available in 1000 mm or 1500 mm length
- T-slot table for knife fastening with clamping brackets (e.g., for securing up to four knives simultaneously)
- Ability to install any type of grinding wheel (CBN, DIA, segmented) in diameters from 175 mm to 200 mm
- Infinitely variable carriage travel speed from 1 to 12 m/min (via potentiometer knob)

The CG grinder is a 100% Polish-made product, manufactured exclusively with European components. The machine is supplied with all required electrical safety certifications, a Polish-language user manual, and a declaration of conformity.
