Plunge Grinding

In the plunge grinding process, workpieces with stepped or contoured outer surfaces, such as nozzle needles, valves, crossheads, gearbox and electric motor shafts, are machined. Possible technologies include straight or angular plunge grinding, single or multi-production plunge grinding, plunge grinding in multiple operations either simultaneously or sequentially, as well as oscillating plunge grinding.

Through-feed grinding is used for machining non-profiled workpieces, such as cylindrical and tapered rollers, rings, rods, and hydraulic slides. This grinding method is highly productive and primarily used for mass and series production of precision components.
