The NK grinding program enables fast and optimal machining of workpieces with varying dimensions. Depending on the workpiece to be machined, a choice can be made between flat grinding and plunge grinding cycles. An attached measuring system with 0.001 mm measuring accuracy records the grinding wheel infeed and, with its follow-up electronics, controls the automatic grinding cycle. This consists of various adjustable infeed increments of the grinding wheel. Infeed stops automatically when the target dimension of the workpiece is reached, adjustable spark-out time, retraction of the wheel and machine table to the starting position. The dressing amount of the grinding wheel is automatically compensated and displayed on the Y-axis digital readout. Wheel wear caused by grinding is compensated for during dressing.
