The new Onyx CNC cutting system is the result of over 25 years of cutting experience. It combines state-of-the-art components and a robust mechanical construction, tailored for demanding operators who place the highest value on superior working ergonomics.

The machine gantry has been modified for even greater rigidity and temperature resistance in order to guarantee maximum reliability and cutting precision—even for material thicknesses of up to 300 mm.

The Onyx features a specially developed safety concept, offering significant advantages both to machine operators and staff working in the immediate vicinity. Additionally, innovative ideas regarding user convenience and process monitoring have been implemented.

• The Vortex 3D FL cutting head delivers the highest precision in automatic 3D plasma cutting of plates, pipes, and profiles
• Reinforced bridge for dynamic cutting of sheets from 1 mm to 300 mm thick
• The modern i-Vision control system mounted on an articulated arm enables uniquely ergonomic, comfortable operation and process monitoring
• Modified drive system for more precise X-axis positioning during dynamic cutting
• Power LED lighting and light barriers ensure safe operation
• Optimal results thanks to an extensive base of predefined plasma and oxy-fuel cutting parameters for a wide range of cutting tasks
• Integrated machine components provide increased protection against external influences during cutting and extend machine service life
• For top cutting results, the ONYX is Hypertherm® True Hole™ certified and can also be equipped with Kjellberg® Contour Cut™ technology
