CORMAK HBS320

CORMAK HBS320 for double-sided miter cutting in the range from -45° to +60°. The machine’s design is based on solutions and projects developed by Polish engineers. Its precision and quality place it at the forefront of band saws, capable of cutting materials up to 320 mm in width. A key advantage of the machine is the latest-generation hydraulic cylinder. The machine features a reinforced vice base and a quick-clamping vice.

Machine Features

The CORMAK HBS320 metal band saw enables cutting material at any angle between -45° and +60°. Workpieces can be fed manually or by any feeding device. The feed during cutting is gravity-based, utilizing oil flow in the hydraulic cylinder. The operator starts the machine by pressing the start button and sets the cutting speed. After the cutting cycle is completed, the machine automatically stops and the operator raises the arm to the starting position.

The saw arm is made from a very robust, single-piece grey cast iron casting. Combined with a 27 mm wide saw blade, it is perfectly suited for serial cutting of structural, stainless, and tool steels. The vice is mounted on an adjustable bed and features quick-release clamping. The blade guides are equipped with ball bearings and carbide inserts, ensuring excellent precision and straightness of the cut. This has a significant impact on band guidance, blade longevity, and cutting quality. The carbide guides greatly reduce wear on both the machine and the blade.

The base is a rigid body constructed from welded steel sheets. Inside, there is a separate coolant tank with an electric pump. The top of the base is designed as a tray to collect coolant and chips generated during material cutting. A cast iron worktable with a double-sided pivoting arm and control panel is mounted to the base.

Feed rate is adjusted from the control panel. Two blade speeds are available: 44 and 88 m/min. When the saw arm is in the lower position (after the cut), the blade drive automatically switches off. Safety is ensured by blade guards and microswitches that stop the motor when the cutting cycle is complete or any guard is opened. An additional safety feature is automatic shut-off in the event of blade breakage.
