CORMAK HBS320

CORMAK HBS320 – Double-sided bandsaw for angle cutting from -45° to +60°. The machine is based on designs and solutions by Polish engineers. Its precision and accuracy place it at the forefront of bandsaws capable of cutting widths up to 320 mm. A key advantage of the machine is its latest-generation hydraulic cylinder. The unit features a reinforced vise base and a quick-clamping vise.

Machine Features

The CORMAK HBS320 metal bandsaw enables cutting material at any angle from -45° to +60°. The workpiece can be fed manually or with any feeding device. Cutting feed is gravity-based, regulated by oil flow within the hydraulic cylinder. The operator starts the machine by pressing the start button and sets the cutting speed. When the cycle is complete, the machine automatically stops and the operator raises the arm to the starting position.

The saw arm is made from a massive, solid grey cast iron casting. With a 27 mm wide saw blade, it is fully suited for series cutting of structural, stainless, and tool steels. The vise is set in an adjustable bed and equipped with quick clamping functionality. The blade guides use a system of rolling bearings and carbide inserts, ensuring excellent cutting precision and straightness. This significantly extends blade life and improves cutting accuracy and quality. Carbide guidance greatly reduces machine and blade wear.

The base is a rigid, welded steel body. Inside, there is a separate coolant tank with an electric pump. The top of the base forms a tray for collecting coolant and chips generated during cutting. The cast iron work table, with a swiveling arm on both sides and a control panel, is attached to the base.

Feed rate is regulated from the control panel. Two blade speeds are selectable: 44 and 88 m/min. At the lower arm position – after cutting – the blade drive is automatically switched off. Safety is ensured by saw blade covers and microswitches that stop the motor after the cycle or when any cover is opened. Additional protection includes automatic bandsaw shutdown in case of blade breakage.
