Product features:

The universal CORMAK BS 712 R metal band saw allows cutting both in the vertical plane as well as perpendicular to the axis of the material or at any angle between 45° and 90°. Cutting feed is gravity-assisted, based on oil flow in a double-chamber hydraulic cylinder. The descent speed of the arm is regulated by a valve controlling oil flow between chambers. The desired blade linear speed is obtained by changing the pulley ratio between the worm gear and the drive motor. The descent speed of the arm is equally regulated via the oil flow control valve.

The arm is made of profiled nodular cast iron, ensuring rigidity during operation and absorbing all types of vibrations. The control panel is mounted on the saw arm. The blade drive system consists of two cast iron wheels: a tensioning wheel (adjustable by lever) and a drive wheel. The drive wheel receives torque directly from the worm gearbox, which is powered by the electric motor. The right blade tilt is achieved via a set of bearing rollers.

The machine base is a rigid cuboid made of steel sheets, housing the coolant reservoir and coolant pump. The top part of the base is equipped with a tray for coolant drainage and a swarf bin for cut material debris. Mounted on the tray is a cast iron worktable featuring a vise for material clamping and to which the saw arm is attached. The vise features a quick-release clamping mechanism. At the bottom of the pedestal, there are mountings for wheel axles.

Safety during cutting is ensured by an electrical system complying with all CE standards. The machine features a limit switch stopping the saw at the end of the cut, an emergency stop (E-stop/Mushroom button), and a number of microswitches disabling the machine if, for example, the belt drive cover or band saw blade cover is opened. Additionally, unlike the competition, our model features a wire brush for cleaning swarf from the cutting blade, which prevents blade clogging and ensures more efficient cutting.
