General Description
The JCI 146 is a voltmeter adapter component designed for integration into broader experimental systems.
In combination with our JCI 140, this system enables measurement of live conductors with voltages up to ± 60 kV DC via direct connection, delivering accuracy of ± 2% (nominal) with minimal loading effects on the device under test.

The high input impedance and low capacitance of the JCI 146 allow for more accurate DC voltage measurements.
Other conventional techniques for direct high-voltage measurement (e.g., high-voltage meters, capacitive and resistive divider networks, etc.) often yield inaccurate results due to loading effects caused by the measurement setup.

This device can be used for cross-checking calibration and accuracy of high-voltage sources by power utilities, calibration test houses, and cable manufacturers, among other application areas.
