Basic equipment

VT 651 Exhaust air fan: Operating speed variable between 2,400 rpm and 3,500 rpm, suitable for the respective application. Powered by the auxiliary engine, via the reduction gearbox and the fluid coupling. Reduction gearbox ratio: 1.79:1

Disc brushes: Quick-release brush system with infinitely variable speed up to 200 rpm (controlled from the cab).

Suction nozzle: Cast aluminium suction nozzle with a 250 mm inlet opening and tool-free adjustment.

Sweeping roller: Quick-release brush system with a nominal rotational speed of 160 rpm.

Dust suppression system: Spray nozzles for dust suppression at the suction nozzle(s), disc brushes and via the vehicle front. Pressadrain water expulsion system.

Electrical system: 24 volt. All external wiring harness connections are rated to automotive standard IP67.

Controls: Main control panel mounted in the centre of the cab with Johnston Video Monitor (JVM) provides information on a wide range of sweeping functions plus download of recorded data. Up to four optionally available cameras can also be viewed on the JVM screen. A separate palm rest control panel includes controls for the main sweeping functions and is mounted on the side of the door.

Body and Hood: The body consists of the debris container and the integrated water tank. Made from high-performance stainless steel plate. The hood is lined with frequency-matched sound-absorbing material. The water tank includes baffles and is filled via a type "A" hydrant filling system. A double, dry-run protected diaphragm pump runs continuously. Watertight rear door with double locking system and drainage function. Two side access doors on the body. Plug-in body floor as transfer connection for use as a road washer. Rear discharge channel, dual amber beacons at the rear protected by wire cages. Automatic, multi-positional body support mechanism and side-mounted storage cabinets are standard features.
