Condition of the machine:
The feeder bunker with bag opener was in operation at a large recycling facility, where recyclables from yellow bags or commercial waste were tipped into the bunker using wheel loaders, bags were opened via the bag opener, and materials were discharged dosed either to a sorting plant or for further processing. The system functioned flawlessly until disassembly and was replaced by a larger machine with higher throughput. The machine was dismantled in our workshop into individual components, partially overhauled, reassembled, and tested during operation.
The following overhaul work was carried out and/or the following spare parts were renewed:
– Disassembly of the feeder bunker and bag opener into individual parts. Cleaning, partial sandblasting, priming, and painting of steel components.
– Various wear and cover plates were newly manufactured and installed.
– Cutting off worn ends (approx. 40 cbm) of the moving floor tubes. Welding new tubes and smoothing the moving floor tubes.
– Replacement of all sliding plastic plates for the hydraulic moving floor.
– Removal of the hydraulic unit from the moving floor, complete drainage of the hydraulic oil tank, replacement of oil filters, refilling with new hydraulic oil.
– Replacement of all three hydraulic manifolds, all valves, oil sight glass, and all hydraulic hoses on the hydraulic power unit.
– All three hydraulic cylinders of the moving floor: seals and hydraulic hoses replaced.
– All six end switches (proximity sensors) of the moving floor were replaced.
– Conveyor chains left and right of the scraper conveyor replaced.
– Seven scraper bars of the scraper conveyor replaced.
– Drive motor for the bag opener rotors replaced.
– All nine pneumatic cylinders for the pressure pipes replaced. All pneumatic lines and fittings renewed.
– All sliding plastic plates for the hydraulic adjustment of the bag opener renewed. The bag opener can be moved in depth to allow the system to be used for commercial or residual waste without the bag opener if required.
– Side impact protection plates on both sides renewed.
– Various wear parts of the bag opener replaced.

– The entire system was completely rewired and reconnected electrically.
– The system control in the control cabinet was reverted by BRT Hartner to standalone single unit operation and the standard program was reloaded.
– The system was commissioned and tested by BRT Hartner; see the function video.
