Alzinger Lepton 5100 – Solution for the Bio-Waste Ordinance (BioAbfV)

Ideal for biowaste separation: Easily comply with the statutory 1% contamination limit!

As of May 2025, biowaste may only be processed if the impurity content is below 1.0 wt-%. Our Lepton 5100 is designed precisely for this requirement.

Advantages of the Lepton 5100: Separation instead of shredding

Gentle bag opening: Waste bags are reliably opened without being shredded. A pre-shredder (slow-speed shredder) is not required!

Maximum film size: Films remain largely intact and are efficiently removed during the first screening step before being fragmented during composting (by turning, heat, and UV exposure).

Optimum product purity: Prevents microplastics in the process and ensures superior final product quality.

Integrated air separator: No need for additional bulky machines. Saves space and maintenance costs.

Process innovation (flexibly configurable):

Biowaste processing (2-fraction): Reversible mid-size grain conveyor combines medium and fine fractions homogenously. Result: Clean target fraction for digestion/composting plus oversize with films/impurities.

Compost refinement (3-fraction): Separation into premium compost, structural material, and energy wood. Ballistic effect removes stones, glass, and hard plastics via stone conveyor. Integrated air separator eliminates final film residues.

Current application: Successful biowaste preparation for wet digestion. The machine delivers a homogeneous, contaminant-free fraction for the digester, preventing floating or sinking layers.

Inspection & demonstration: On-site demonstration available at our partner facility in the Kelheim district. Process discussions possible directly with plant operators.
