High-Performance Industrial Robot
The 6-axis manipulator IRB 6400 and the S4Cplus robot controller enable short and precise cycle times, quick changeovers, and consistently high process accuracy.
The IRB 6400 accounts for one third of ABB’s 90,000 robot installations.
The 6400 robot family comprises various arm variants and payload classes, all controlled by the advanced dynamic model-based QuickMove™ function. This ensures maximum acceleration, path accuracy, and speed throughout the entire work envelope.

Adaptability
The IRB 6400 is compact and features a small interference radius, allowing flexible installations in high-density production environments. The process media integrated into the robot base can be easily exchanged, and switching from a 2.5 m to a 3 m extension arm takes less than 30 minutes. The robot can be calibrated axis by axis for rapid resumption of production.

Reliability and Safety
The IRB 6400 features a robust all-steel construction with high material strength. The arms are mechanically balanced and double-supported.
Advanced motion control and collision detection significantly reduce the risk of damage to tools and workpieces, making it an extremely reliable and safe robot.
