Description:
Flame photometers from A.KRÜSS are used to determine the concentration of alkali and alkaline earth elements in aqueous solutions. The devices offer a simple and particularly cost-effective alternative to analytical techniques such as ICP or AAS. Flame photometers are especially suitable for the quantitative determination of alkali metals such as sodium (Na), potassium (K), and lithium (Li), as well as alkaline earth metals such as calcium (Ca).
Measurement for these elements is performed simultaneously in a single workflow step. Ongoing modernization of flame photometers and a special focus on safety engineering have opened up entirely new application fields for many cost-sensitive customer groups—from automated incoming goods inspection to qualification of FFP masks according to DIN 149.
Low operating costs are one of the main strengths of AES, while the FP8000 series technology stands out for its high measurement accuracy.
Sample applications:
- Measurement of food samples
- Quality assessment of high-purity glass and vials for pharmaceutical packaging
- Concrete classification
- Analysis of infusion solutions
Laboratory version flame photometer, with manual sample feed, 4 measurement channels, configurable measurement methods, and additional channel for flame monitoring.
Measuring ranges for undiluted samples:
0.01 mg/l to 4500 mg/l sodium
0.01 mg/l to 4500 mg/l potassium
0.01 mg/l to 4500 mg/l lithium
0.50 mg/l to 4500 mg/l calcium
Resolution:
0.001 mg/l for all elements
Accuracy: +/-1% depending on the quality of the standards
