The system first performs a trimming operation at the front of the cardboard to remove any potential transport damage. After trimming, an edge cut of at least 30 mm is taken off on both sides. Additionally, if necessary, a corner of the cardboard can be removed depending on the FEFCO type. Finally, the cardboard is creased at the folding points and conveyed out of the machine.
Waste generated during this process is transported out of the machine via a waste conveyor located underneath. At the machine’s exit, a conveyor belt disposes of the waste into a container. If the edge trim is too long, it must be cut within the system to ensure easy removal from the line.
The blanks and products are conveyed to the folding table, where the cartons are erected and filled. In the box closing unit, the cartons are sealed, labeled, and discharged from the system.
